Quick Jasmine sketch.
I’m trying out a sketchbook I got for Christmas, it’ll take some getting used to. It’s frigging beautiful: bright red, leatherbound with printed texture, from a fairtrade shop and the paper’s handmade by blind Indian orphans from recycled clothes or something like that.  The catch is that the paper is so fragile, roughly textured and porous it sucks paint into itself like a sponge and disintegrates at the sight of an eraser; it’s really an object that was meant to be left strategically on a hipster’s desk with a few lines of poetry every few pages but hell naw, I’m slobbering watercolour all over it.  So idk… expect some pretty rubbish stuff out of it until I learn its quirks but it would be boring to always just draw on the high-grade artist paper.

Jasmine isn’t one of my top favourite princesses but I have this strange respect (if you can have it for imaginary characters) for her, Cinderella and Rapunzel for maintaining their sanity throughout what was effectively a lifetime of imprisonment.

Compilation of all of my designer princess watercolours in one image.
Texture from here, originally from the Disney Store website though so I figured it would go well with this.

Princess Jasmine’s designer dress.  Decided to go with a sherwani instead of a tuxedo for Aladdin.  I secretly drool at all the asian fashion shops every time we go to the town centre, such gorgeous outfits and so much colour.

Princess Jasmine for a change and before I spam more Belle… watercolours and brush-tipped marker.
